There are a lot of different types of life insurance policies available for you to choose from. You will need to get all the information you can on each one to know what will suit your needs and the needs of your family should something bad happen in the weeks or years to come. It's not something you want to think about, but it is one less worry you would have if you took care of it now. Waiting could end up leaving your family in a bind because you didn't take the time to look at your options.

Term Life Insurance is very affordable policy that will cover you for a certain term or length of time. It's good for families on a budget or couples just starting their lives together. You can buy this policy for as many years as you see fit.

Whole Life Insurance may be a little higher than term life, but it covers you for a lifetime. Your premium is a fixed payment that will never change. You can borrow against your money with the cash value options should things get rough. You can also invest the money into stocks and such.

Variable Life Insurance is a policy similar to whole life as it is for a lifetime; however, your payments can vary. You will get to invest your money and have more control over whom and what you invest in, but your payments will be higher on this policy.

These are just a few policies available. There are many different types available and vary from company to company. Talk to your advisor about your needs and get the right policy for you and your family.
